The dog was a serious issue. It was not the same dog as in the description and barked frequently, sometimes for hours straight. For about one month it repeatedly urinated on the living room floor. While this was no longer an issue toward the end of the stay, it significantly affected the overall experience.

The mattress was worn out and visibly stained, which made sleeping uncomfortable. Only one bedsheet was provided.

The shared living area was not actually shared. I was allowed to use it for breakfast when the host was at work, and since we left around the same time this was barely possible. In the evenings the door was closed, so it was clearly not a common area as described.

The dishwasher did not work properly.

The guest policy was changed compared to what was stated in the contract. According to the booking, guests were allowed for three days free of charge per month. The host only allowed about half of that and demanded 10 euros per night, which I refused.

Positive aspects were the cleaning every two weeks, a fully functional washing machine, and a very good location.

LANDLORD'S REPLY:
It is somewhat strange that if the stay was so unsatisfactory, why would the guest stay here for four whole months?

I would therefore like to comment on the points in the review.

 Dog: The dog lives in the apartment and this is stated in the offer. He is well-behaved and clean. The offer is suitable for those who like dogs or at least don’t mind them.

Living room:  It is not a rule that it is automatically shared, as stated in the offer as well.

Dishwasher: The dishwasher was replaced with a brand new one during the guest’s stay.

Visits of the guest friends: The guest was visited by her friends for free several times. However, I believe it is good manners to respect the host’s privacy.

Room: The room is in standard condition and has never been complained about. I believe that guest would slept much better if she kept her room tidy. The room was thoroughly cleaned after the guest’s departure.

I honestly don’t know what was worse: the apartment itself or the landlady. This place was an absolute nightmare, and I strongly advise anyone reading this to stay away at all costs.
Let’s start with the apartment. The photos are pure deception and have nothing to do with reality. The room is handed over in whatever filthy state the previous tenant left it in. The kitchen, bathroom, and toilet are dirty and rancid. When I moved in, there was already mold behind the sink, which says everything about the level of care taken here.
The refrigerator randomly leaks water, leaving puddles on the floor. The shower head is broken, spraying water in all directions except where it should. There is no mailbox, no doorbell, and no nameplates — basic things you would expect in any functional apartment. The room door has a glass window, meaning zero privacy unless you cover it yourself. Even after insulating the door with special materials, the soundproofing is still completely inadequate: you can clearly hear the toilet flushing and every single movement in the kitchen. Relaxing in your own room is simply impossible.
Heating deserves its own special mention. The regulator in the room is rusted and stuck, so you cannot control the temperature. The only way to regulate heating is via the bathroom, which means either you sweat like crazy, your roommates freeze, or you sleep with the heating blasting and the windows wide open. There is no reasonable middle ground.
And these are just the problems with the apartment itself.
Now to the landlady — or rather, the complete absence of any real landlord responsibility. I repeatedly tried to report these issues. The messages are read, but responses come extremely late, if at all. Communication is a disaster. She barely understands English and is apparently unable (or unwilling) to use a translator, which makes the delays even more absurd.
On October 15, I sent a long, detailed message listing all the defects. After weeks of following up and practically begging, I finally managed to speak to her on November 14. She openly admitted that she couldn’t even remember the last time she had seen the apartment in person. I was then promised that by the end of November the following would be fixed: a new toilet and floor, a repaired refrigerator, a new bathroom floor and bathtub, a mailbox with keys and nameplate, and a replaced heating regulator.
I am writing this at the end of January. Unsurprisingly, almost nothing has happened. The toilet was eventually repaired, and I was told the bathroom would be next — but at this point, promises are meaningless. You can safely assume that every promise will be delayed by at least two to three months, if it happens at all.
To make things even worse, the landlady doesn’t even live in Prague. When something finally starts moving after endless delays, you as the tenant are expected to chase third parties yourself.
P.S.: Just to be clear about the noise situation: both current roommates have children who temporarily live in the apartment, meaning it is rarely occupied by only three adults. If you think this will be a quiet or peaceful place to live — think again.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with this apartment. There was mold on the walls, dirty dishes, a broken coffee machine, dirty windows with bird droppings on the sills, and months-old dust and cobwebs behind the bed. The wi-fi didn’t work, and both the shower and sink drains were clogged.

Although I asked the landlady to arrange cleaning and repairs, she said the cleaner was unavailable, and despite claiming she contacted other services, nothing changed for three days. She admitted the apartment was neglected and needed cleaning, but still didn’t arrange it.

She also accused me of pressuring her to move in earlier, even though she had asked for an extra day to prepare the flat — which I agreed to — yet the apartment was still in terrible condition. Her only solution was that I leave early, which she considered fair. I did not, as the apartment was too dirty to work, sleep, or live in.

I had to leave and find another place. Very unpleasant experience — I do not recommend this apartment.

Byt byl nájemnici předán osobně při nastěhování a v daný moment nebyly vzneseny žádné výhrady. Připomínky začaly přicházet až s odstupem času. Na každou z nich jsem reagovala bezodkladně. Kontaktovala jsem techniky na internet, objednala nový kávovar, řešila možnost úklidu a opakovaně komunikovala s poskytovateli služeb. O všech krocích byla nájemnice průběžně informována.
Vzhledem k tomu, že některé požadavky nebylo možné vyřešit okamžitě (zejména z důvodu dostupnosti externích služeb), nabídla jsem férové řešení formou předčasného ukončení pobytu. Toto řešení bylo nakonec realizováno dohodou přes platformu Flatio a s částečným vrácením nájemného, se kterým nájemnice souhlasila.
Je mi líto, že pobyt nesplnil očekávání nájemnice, nicméně z mé dlouhodobé zkušenosti i historie hodnocení na Flatio (dlouhodobě 5/5) je zřejmé, že se jednalo o mimořádnou a nestandardní situaci, kdy očekávání a standardy nebyly na obou stranách v souladu.
Byt byl po odjezdu převzat zpět bez jakýchkoliv dalších připomínek a spolupráce byla oficiálně uzavřena dle pravidel platformy.
Zároveň bych ráda doplnila, že veškeré nahlášené záležitosti byly po odjezdu nájemnice vyřešeny. Byt je nyní po generálním úklidu, s plně funkčním internetem, odpady i novým vybavením a je připraven v plném standardu pro další hosty.

V bytě bylo nevyhovující vybavení,v původnim zanedbaném stavu. Také špinavo. Gauč byl flekatý a nevyčištěný,prasklá postranice u ostele, kuchyňská linka s lemem špíny kolem umyvadla a s rozbitým šuplíkem,bez mikrovlnky, kývací zmožený konf.stoleček,
Prach na zásuvkách a vypinačích,nesvitolo velké světlo v koupelně a nešlo topení. Byla jen prikrývka pro dva,ale spala jsem na gauči, postel je malá. Tedy chyběla další přikrývka. Paní přinesla baterie do ovládáni topení a žárovku,ale to není moje práce davat do lampy žarovku.
Zrušen pobyt a nikomu tohle nedoporučím.

Terrible experience. The house had hot water lasting no more than 3 minutes. The host entered the house without notice and was uncooperative. Every day there was a new problem. The toilet leaked multiple times. We were supposed to stay there for 3 months, and we managed to shorten it to one month — but after just the first week, with only 3 minutes of hot water per day, we had no choice but to move to another place. We tried to reach at least a mutual agreement to pay only for the first 7 nights since we couldn’t even take a proper hot shower, but the host kept denying the water issue and blaming us instead. We are not the first people to have this experience — I have NEVER had any problems with a house or a rental before, but with Radka I did. You can find more reviews on other rental platforms — I strongly recommend checking there.The owner will probably try to justify herself, but when negative reviews start piling up, maybe it’s time to ask a couple of questions.

On Sunday morning, as agreed with Mr. Michal, I arrived at his apartment at 10 a.m. I rang the doorbell, but no one came to open the door. I tried to contact him, and it turned out that he had overslept. When I entered my room, he informed me that he had not yet been able to clean it.

He then gave me a vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies so I could clean everything myself. I have photos of this, but it is obviously difficult to capture this on camera. Everything in the house, including my room, smelled terrible of cigarettes and everything was musty. Even the bedding that was lying on my bed (in a pile). The green mat was also really dirty and musty. So it was clear that no one had been in the room for a long time. What's more, there were still things in the closet that he would pick up “when he had the chance.”

It also turned out that the door to my room was completely transparent and could only be closed with a hook. The bathroom couldn't be closed either. So I have no privacy at all.

The kitchen and bathroom, which we have to share, were also extremely dirty. Michal was not prepared for my arrival. The dishwasher was full of moldy stuff. When I was away for a while on Sunday afternoon, he quickly gave the kitchen and bathroom a superficial clean.

When I want to use the toilet, I notice that someone has urinated all over the seat.

I was planning to stay there for 4 months and only stayed 2 days.

If you enjoy being treated like an unwanted guest in a stranger’s over-decorated storage unit, this is the rental for you. From the moment I moved in, I was met with broken fixtures, dirty appliances, and personal belongings stuffed into nearly every drawer and cabinet, leaving me nowhere to unpack. When I brought up basic expectations—like functional lighting or a working doorbell—I was met with dismissiveness, condescension, and outright hostility.

Alexandra made it painfully clear she saw the apartment as hers and me as some temporary inconvenience paying 30,000 crowns per month for the privilege of being ignored. When I requested actual solutions, I was told things like, “You don’t need that much space,” and “If you don’t like it, just leave.” So I did - I left.

Do yourself a favor: avoid this place, avoid this owner, and avoid the stress. You’re renting an apartment, not entering a psychological endurance test.

This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had.

Two days before my move-in date, I was informed that there was an issue with the house I booked. They told me they would arrange an alternative room for me. The house I originally booked was supposed to have sunlight and a balcony, but the replacement room had neither of those features, which was clearly a downgrade. They never mentioned anything about compensation; I was simply "informed" about this arrangement.

They only mentioned compensation after I chased them down, and even then, I had to send multiple emails to get any details.

When I finally moved in, I was told that some workers needed to fix something, but I was never given a clear explanation of what the issue was or what was being fixed.

To this day, I'm still unclear on how they are handling it.

This whole experience has been completely disappointing and stressful. Renting a house from them actually has totally destroyed my mood for my work trip.

Ubytování katastrofa, byt extrémě smrděl, bylo tam asi 150kytek, paní si nějaké odvezla, ale stejně tam nechala květiny ve skleničkách s vodou která smrděla a ten smrad nešel vyvětrat a špatně se tam dýchalo, peřiny a polštáře byly celé flekaté, jako kdyby nechci říkat od čeho, na vyžádání zašlu fotografie, vše mám nafocené. Za byt jsem zaplatila 15tis na 2 týdny, ale spala tam 1 noc díky těmto okolnostem. Radím vám všem, neplaťte si toto ubytování, za tu cenu to nestojí, musela jsem také na vlastní náklady nechat zatuchlou sedící soupravu. Navíc tam ani není TV, pouze strašně moc obrazů a květin, to ani na propagačních fotkách není vidět, ale když zaplatíte a přijdete na byt, tak se nestačíte divit. Katastrofa

Jakub was the most unpleasant host. Everything was fine besides the cheap build of the apartment. On check-out, there were a few minor issues which he tried to charge me €3,000.00+ for - basically tried to steal from me. On top of that, I was notified from another tenant that the neighboring apartment had a bedbug infestation. I was extremely worried during my entire stay that it would spread to the unit I was staying in. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here.

LANDLORD'S REPLY:
Christopher did not vacate the apartment properly. He left some of his belongings behind, failed to clean it before leaving, broke my vacuum cleaner and drying rack, and caused stains and damage to the walls and curtains.
Cleaning and repairing the apartment after he left cost me more than CZK 25,000. Additionally, I had to cancel the new tenant who was supposed to rent the apartment after him.
There was never any issue with bedbugs in the apartment. The interior was designed by an architect, and most of the furniture and equipment were custom-made.

Jedním slovem, zklamání. Byt není vhodný k bydlení rodiny s malým dítětem. Co jsme našli byla nečistota a vrstvy prachu v ložnici pod postelí, v obývacím pokoji a v kuchyni, v rozích a za nábytkem. Náznaky plísně na stěně v kuchyni. Pavučiny ve všech místnostech. Doporučuji se vyhnout tomuto ubytování.

The landlord never responds to messages, we never met in person, instead I met her "ex husband" who warned us that our roommate can sometimes be "weird and strange". Turns out the apartment was filthy, this roommate walked around half naked, constantly brought strangers to the flat and one time he got on a physical altercation with someone. I had to vacate the flat earlier than my move out date because it is too dangerous. The landlord never gave me a response regarding this issue. This flat is not safe or suitable for someone, especially young women.

I rented the unit for just over two months and had to live in a construction zone for approximately 5 weeks. The roof construction was ongoing even during my move out date with no sign of the project ending any time soon. Imagine waking up every morning at 0700 to chainsaws, skill saws, hammering and other machinery. No forewarning from the landlord and they eventually admitted this project was addressed at a meeting between the owners; but they were not present for the meeting. I was also never given a timeline as to when the construction would end.
I reached out to Flatio regarding the issue and they agreed I should receive some sort of compensation for the unacceptable living conditions provided. Although the work was ongoing during bylaw regulated working hours, I did not pay to live in a construction zone. The only resolution provided by the landlord was for me to terminate my lease early and they took no consideration to my suggestion. Their actions towards this issue show a lack of responsibility and disregard for their guests.
I could not take time off work, pack up, move all my belongings during peak tourist season where prices are exorbitant and options are limited. My hands were tied financially.
To summarize: the landlord either withheld information regarding the project or are not responsible enough to know what is being planned at their property. They would have rather eliminated the problem on their end and doubled it on mine than to provide a simple courtesy. Their actions are a direct reflection of their disregard and I would NOT recommend you rent this space. Construction is still ongoing and will be for the foreseeable future.

P.S. The landlord was shocked to see what the construction looked during move out. Now imagine paying to live there.

I have used Air BnB a fair bit. This was my first experience with Flatio. They were great to deal with because of the situation I will describe. On initial check in, the place was an absolute mess. There were clothes piled in the living room and food left out on the counter. I stayed the first night - too late to get a new place, and in the morning I emailed Flatio. Fast response and they got in touch with the landlord. She asked why I didn’t ask her directly about things, but how does one go about telling someone that the place is an utter shambles 10 minutes after meeting them? It’s very awkward. At any rate, she cleaned it up partially that day and I thought that I would tough it out for the next week. It didn’t last a day, and was back to being a mess. Dirt, actual dirt in the bathtub and on the bathroom floor.
She was sleeping there as well but on the couch. When I booked it,
I thought it was a shared accommodation with separate rooms. No. You get the bedroom and she sleeps on the couch. The dog (mentioned in the ad) migrates to wherever it would like to be.
I couldn’t handle it so I got an Air BnB and left. I emailed Flatio again and they got back via email and WhatsApp. Since I elected to stay (initially after the partial cleanup) they paid her out. They explained it all to me. I forgot- she asked me right away about payment. I didn’t know the Flatio system so initially they hold payment until you are checked in and satisfied. After the partial cleaning I emailed again and they gave her the payment.
Never again. This was a learning experience for me. I feel bad for her situation but on her end of things, she is to provide a clean accommodation.
That never happened. In good conscience, I cannot recommend this place.

I have nothing to say about the owner, she has been very nice during my entire three-month stay, and the place is inexpensive for Prague. However, the flat itself has some hidden aspects that are important to mention. It's not bad: the room is very nice, and the living room and kitchen are okay, but there are some issues worth noting.

Firstly, during my stay, there was a problem with hot water because when someone in the building was using hot water, I couldn't use mine. Secondly, sometimes people who do not live in the shared flat come over to cook or to use the sofa... They are not bad people, but it's always surprising to see strangers in our flat.

Overall, my stay was okay, but I think these points are relevant, and people should know about them before coming. I'm sure these issues can be resolved and the situation can improve in the future, but for now, this is how it is. Thank you for your understanding.

Wonderful landlord and wonderful to work with. Would respond to my messages within a few hours. Although, the home needs a little bit of updating. I had to clean as soon as I arrived and many things were broken as well. The toilet does not flush more than once an hour which could be an issue if two people were staying there. The counter is cracked and glued together as well as the tub is being held together with plaster. The downstairs neighbors have the TV on all day long so if you plan on working, it might get annoying.

There is no microwave, oven, dishwasher, or laundry machine. These are just things to keep in mind if you plan on staying long-term.

The location is wonderful and it is ok if you plan on being in Prague for a week or less, but I would not recommend it for a long-term stay. I did move out early and Aurelien did make that very easy.

This apartment was the worst experience that I ever had. When we moved in, we had to clean the kitchen by ourselves, because it was very dirty.

After approx. two weeks, the toilet started to leak the water. When we announce this to the apartment owner, she at first said she will call someone to fix it, but nobody came for the first scheduled time. After trying to contact the owner again, she threaten me that if some water leaks to the neighbours flat I will be responsible for it and she blocked me on the phone. In very urgent situation, she was responding only via Flatio platform and with with absolutely inadequate frequency and communication style.

The second agreed time, the plumber came, but he fixed nothing, the problem only gets worse (he had no spare parts and after dismantling the toilet the flushing button was broken and to toiled was completely unusable). I tried to contact the owner, but with no response, even on Flatio. On fourth day without usable toilet, we decided to leave the apartment, because it the situation was unbearable.

This flat owner only cares about her profit. She is a shame of the Czech Republic flat renters. Stay away from this renter and apartment.

It's such a shame that this flat with so much potential is so poorly equipped.
I've never paid so much for a "furnished" flat and had so little.
the location is great and the unit itself is great and new and big but it was so frustrating to not have more furniture and basic items.
no TV, no microwave (although they brought one a few days later, which however was missing Rotating platter so it was useless) no drying rack for clothes, no drying rack for dishes, (dishwasher was broken) only a couch in the living room which would sit 3. Iron came a few days later however no Ironing board to be able to iron. No clothes hangars, not even a Broom or a Mop to clean the floors.
Bathtub on main floor did not hold water.
hope they spend some money and do some repairs because it is a potentially nice stay.

The apartment is in very poor condition. General very moist and mold start coming quick. Kitchen equipment and furniture worn out.
If you run the stove and the washing machine at the same time, the main fuse pops.
No shower curtain, the joints between the tiles on the bathroom floor are missing and if you’ll be away for a few days, mushrooms grow out of it.
The entrance to the apartment looks like a dumpster, because of the construction at the front building.

The whole experience was an absolute nightmare.
To begin with, the construction of an entire new building is taking place at the corner of the street. The non-stop noise of steel beams being cut and hammering goes on from early seven in the morning till at least 5 in the afternoon. I am not exaggerating when I say the first week was actual torture. The windows are old, and you can hear everything happening outside, from footsteps to conversations to drunk people shouting at night. This perhaps wouldn’t be a huge issue if I were a tourist out all day, but as I had already made very clear to the landlady even before moving in, I would be working from home to finish my thesis which I had to turn in at the end of the month. The owner could not have cared less nor been more disrespectful. I tried messaging her every day for over a week, and she only bothered to reply after I asked Flatio to contact her. I tried to reason with her because I could not use the (extremely expensive) apartment for the sole purpose I had rented it for. She was obviously unwilling to end my long-term stay early or at least give some sort of discount and only advised me to see Prague as my “muse,” forcing me to spend another 400 euros on an office desk at a co-working space where I could actually work and hold meetings.
After that, she completely disappeared and would only ever reply with one or two words, which wasn’t exactly helpful when I asked for help to turn the fridge on because no one had bothered to turn it on for me before my arrival. Given that the landlady does not even live in Europe, she had no clue as to how the appliances in the apartment actually work. It took a few days until her mother came over, scolding me and being as aggressive as her daughter. Believe it or not, it is not the tenant’s job to know how to turn on your appliances!
The entire experience was terrible, and I still cannot believe I paid nearly 2000 euros to be in that old, noisy, cold apartment with owners who will treat you like trash.
For the past six years, I have worked and studied remotely and stayed in probably over sixty apartments by now, and NEVER have I been treated so poorly as I was there. I left over a week early because the whole experience honestly made me depressed.
In all, the apartment has no redeeming qualities; the pictures are an unrealistic display of what you actually get, there are none of the rugs, pillows, or chairs you see in the photos, it’s actually very empty and impersonal, and the kitchen only has extremely basic appliances for a supposedly long-stay apartment. With that being said, I think it’s safe to say you would be much better off finding your muse elsewhere.

I will start with the positive points. The owner is available very quickly in case of problems and he is welcoming. Now the negative points. The accommodation was unsanitary, there was a lot of mold under the fridge and the rest of the accommodation was overall dirty. Moreover, the owner tried several times to open the door of the bathroom while we took our shower, and asked us to leave because there was a visit. This kind of repetitive situation is quite intimidating and rude.
