The apartment is exactly as advertised. It is comfortable and spacious, with all amenities and equipaments available. Excellent internet connection for those who are working. The landlord is very polite and friendly and responds very quickly to all asked questions.
Neighborhood
The apartment is located in Alta de Coimbra, a few meters from the ´Sé Velha" (the Old Cathedral which is a work of art from the Romanesque period), halfway between Baixa (going down) and the University (going up). The neighborhood mixes students, tourists and longtime residents in a very interesting coexistence. In Largo da Sá Velha there are restaurants, bars and a small market. Access on foot to Baixa, the University, the Municipal Market and the park on the banks of the Mondego is very easy and pleasant. At the end of the street, in the opposite direction to Largo da Sé Velha, there is an open view over the Mondego from where you can see the always incredible sunset.

Restaurante da Sé Velha, a family-run place that makes wonderful octopus rice (a typical Portuguese dish) and has excellent, friendly service. The municipal market is a short walk away. The Old Cathedral and its cloister are worth a leisurely visit. Walking aimlessly through the alleys of Alta de Coimbra is an experience not to be forgotten.

The apartment has everything you need for living, even a heater (if you plan to live in the cold season). The apartment is located in a tourist area, close to shops, bus stops, and restaurants. It can be a little noisy at night. Marie is a reliable landlord and helped us with registering the agreement in the financial system and resolving other issues.
