An attic apartment in the very heart of the Old Town of Kotor, Montenegro—a UNESCO World Heritage site. It sits directly above the city’s smallest yet most significant *piazzetta*, home to the town’s largest public well—a place where, for centuries, the entire city would gather daily to catch up on all the latest news. Who went to fetch the water? The women. And what happened when a crowd of neighbors met in the queue for water every single day? Exactly. It was the precursor to all the social media platforms you use today—including the one you’re using to read this message.
The 42-square-meter attic features a roof as its ceiling; there are almost no straight walls, so if you are taller than 180 cm, you might want to stop reading now.
The bedroom includes a 180x200 cm king size bed, plus a 140x200 cm sofa bed. The windows offer a fairytale view: the fortress walls, bustling yellow-billed starlings, the tiled roofs of the neighbors, the Church of Our Lady of Health (*Gospa od Zdravlja*), and the path leading up to the Fortress of St. John (300 meters above sea level).
There is a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen—complete with a stove, oven, freezer, and refrigerator—designed for comfortable living. The bathroom includes a shower and a washing machine.
Soundproof windows and meter-thick stone walls shield you from the bustle of the town below. Yet, just a few steps outside, you can find yourself enjoying a cup of aromatic espresso at the Karampana trattoria, accompanied by the traditional morning update on all the local gossip.
The town is an entirely pedestrian zone, so a car is neither needed nor expected. Convenient infrastructure – buses depart every half hour for various cities across the country from a bus station located just 800 meters away.
Kotor is beautiful at Christmas. Restaurants compete with one another in the art of decoration. Keep in mind that both Catholic and Orthodox Christmas are celebrated here. Stages are set up in the town squares, hosting live music throughout the holiday season—performances that invariably conclude with a spectacular fireworks display.
The sea is 300 m away, a grocery store is 100 m away, Kamelia shopping mall and Aroma supermarket is 300 away. Restaurants/coffee shops are 20-100 m away, an oyster farm is 10 km away. A convenient 6.5 km long running path along the picturesque shore of the bay. Various hiking trails start 400 m away from the house. Fishing spot at 500 m. How you can cancel a booking varies depending on what stage the booking is in.
Is your booking request still waiting for host approval? Then you can simply cancel it directly from your My Housing web app!
However, suppose the owner has already approved your booking request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the booking before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the host accepts your booking, the property is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.
Do you have an approved booking and also a valid agreement? In order to cancel your booking, contact Flatio customer support well in advance of your contract beginning (the specific time and amount of refund depends on the type of cancelation policy).
