Nice Room in Sofia Center - 31

The apartment was not bad, but for the price for month it was not good and not in a good neighborhood. The bathroom was moldy and not clean. The beds were okay but not something you would want to stay longer than week.

Tiny apartment and no a/c, but otherwise nice enough. Neighborhood nothing special, but within walking distance of Sofia center.

The landlord is fantastic, he is helpful and friendly. However the location is awful. The Hallways and the stairs are dark an in a very bad state of repair. At least they could pain the walls and provide good lighting. It is okay for a short stays.
Neighborhood
The neighbourhood is mainly populated by middle Easterns and people of poor education backgrounds and manners. It represents a very bad picture of Sofia.

Sofia Central Elegance - Urban Suite

The flat is quite small, really, so if you plan on staying for long it may be a bit demanding for more than one person. Location is quite good, anything you may need is nearby. Safety-wise it's good as well (just barely outside the city centre). We did have an issue with flat being humid, but the owners quick reaction after our demand solved the problem.

At first it may not seem like much, but over our four month stay we've had no problem with safety.

The flats are renovated and clean, but sometimes the landlord messes up the schedule so I had three times people and the cleaning lady knocking on my door, because the landlord forgot that I still live there.
Neighborhood
Not the safest neighborhood and as a women I wouldn't walk home alone at night. The front door wasn't locked at all, so it was open at all times. Overall I didn't feel safe.

It's just the most basic apartment possible. By itself quite nice, but it has a very intense smell, especially from the bathroom sink, which sticks to the whole flat. Also, the price, compared to other options, also hotels and airbnbs, is extremely high for bulgarian standards
Neighborhood
It's very central in the city and you can reach the most important places by foot in about 30min maximum. I have not made any negative experiences regarding safety or encounters, but several female friends of mine, some in the same building, complained about constant harassment by men, as soon as they walked a few steps alone.

The landlord offered me to check in 15 hours earlier which was great. The communication was very easy, also to get the key in a box etc. But there is improvement for the hygiene in the hidden corners of the room.
