Description:
Come and live your best Provincial life in a home with real character. This two-bedroom apartment was curated by a former creative director and fashion stylist. It’s full of 'brocante' market finds, art, books, plants and pieces collected on travels around the world. It’s a stylish, comfortable and calm home to settle in for the winter and spring in Aix en Provence. You can enjoy my home, while I work in the Alps for the winter ski season.

The apartment:
Lounge (5.5m x 3.2m plus entrance hall): Light-filled and airy, with a long unfilled back balcony. There’s a large leather couch, a comfy armchair, a big coffee table, and a smart TV with upgraded sound. There’s also a generous storage cupboard in the entrance.
Bedroom 1 (4.7m x 2.7m): The larger room, opening onto the back balcony. It is being freshly renovated and will have a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and a desk. Photos to come.
Bedroom 2 (3.5m x 2.7m): Double bed, open wardrobe with drawers, a chest of drawers and a bookcase. Large windows. (As pictured)
Kitchen (3.4m x 3.2m): Well equipped and very practical, as the owner is now a chef. It’s a little old and worn, but it has everything you need to cook local market produce and gets lovely light from its own small balcony.
Bathroom: Shower over bath and a large sink, and good storage
Separate toilet: Plus small hallway between bedrooms, bathroom and toilet
Balcony: There is a a table, chairs and a bench on the main balcony, and clothes drying rack
Comfort: Roller shutters in both bedrooms give full blackout. Double glazing keeps out most noise in an already quiet neighbourhood. In built radiators run throughout and come on automatically in winter. Fast and stable wifi included. Bicycle storage
Parking: There is one reserved parking space in a small gated car park, a 1 minute walk
Location:
10 min walk to the Aix’s carless historic centre, where the incredible market happens 3 times per week, and there is a produce market every day. The old centre is full of restaurants, bars, galleries, historic sites and the many famous fountains
Directly across the road: a supermarket, corner shop, a great butcher and a snack kiosk. A local produce market runs in the square four times a week.
8 min walk to the bus station, where buses run to Marseille Airport every 20 minutes, to the TGV train station every 15 minutes and Marseille city centre every 10 minutes
15 min drive to the TGV station, 20 min to Marseille airport, 25 min to central Marseille and it’s totally different vibe!
There are so many incredible places to visit within the region, I can happily provide recommendations
Note: The apartment is on the second floor of the building, there is no elevator but the staircase is large and modern

Digital nomads who want a fast, stable connection and an easy base for exploring Provence, France and Europe. The apartment is so ideally located for travel being so close to MRS airport, Aix and Marseille TGV stations with high speed trains to Paris, and motorways that access greater France. Likewise, it suits a digital nomad or traveller who wants to be able to move in to an already furnished, comfortable base where they can feel right at home, while in a new place.
It also suits foreign language students, visiting academics, university students, or anyone who is wanting to spending a season in Provence.
Terms:
Two months’ rent paid in advance. One month is held as a deposit and returned at the end of your stay, subject to the condition of the apartment and any damage.
Note:
I’m ideally looking for someone who will water the plants once every two - three weeks! As you will enjoy, they add so much to the quality of life. They are straightforward to take care of and a short guide will be provided, as well as for the apartment in general. I am always a phone call away should you need.

Once you send a booking request, the host is notified that you are interested in their listing. From that moment, they have 24 hours to approve or reject your booking.
Hosts are mainly interested in the profile of their guest. Do not forget to fill in all necessary information, add your profile picture, or even make a short video about yourself. Doing that will make you more attractive for the owner and your booking will more likely get approved.

While arranging a contract on Flatio, you do not have to worry that it could be disadvantageous for you. Our contracts are made so that we avoid all problems! All of them are the same, used by all the hosts on Flatio.

If the conditions for the withdrawal are met and the host can't fix the issue immediately, you have the option to withdraw from the lease agreement with a full refund. We'll also actively help you find an alternative accommodation and remain by your side until everything is fully resolved.

How you can cancel a booking varies depending on what stage the booking is in.
Is your booking request still waiting for host approval? Then you can simply cancel it directly from your My Housing web app!
However, suppose the owner has already approved your booking request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the booking before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the host accepts your booking, the property is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.
Do you have an approved booking and also a valid agreement? In order to cancel your booking, contact Flatio customer support well in advance of your contract beginning (the specific time and amount of refund depends on the type of cancelation policy).
If you cancel your booking 14 days or more before the move-in date, you’ll get a refund of the entire first rent.
If you cancel your booking up to 7 days before the move-in date, you’ll get a refund of half of the first rent.
If you cancel your booking less than 6 days before the move-in date, you won’t get a refund of the first rent.
The service fee is always refundable.
If you send a message to Flatio's Support Team requesting cancelation of the booking ("termination from the start date") within 48 hours after the lease agreement becomes valid, you're entitled to get back all the money you paid for the service fee.
After 48 hours, you're entitled to a refund of the service fee in the form of a "voucher" equal to the amount of the service fee you paid. The voucher can be used for your next booking and is valid for 12 months. If the service fee for your next booking is lower than the voucher amount, we'll issue you a new voucher for the remaining amount, valid for 12 months.
